Newmont Asia Pacific gold goes live on MINEMAN R7
Newmont's copper and gold operations in Australia and the Asia Pacific region have gone live on MINEMAN Release 7.
The Boddington gold operation, the largest gold mine in Australia and a substantial producer of copper, went live on MINEMAN Release 6 in 2009. The present release of MINEMAN was an upgrade to this site but has also been extended to embrace the other gold mines in the region owned by Newmont. The transactions through MNEMAN comprise a substantial portion of gold produced in the Australia Pacific region.

The upgraded and expanded system is designed to manage the sales and financials for copper concentrates, and also the tracking and control of gold dore bars from the mines through to the refinery and to final outturn, at which point the bullion is sold.
The new system is widely regarded as industry best practice, and will make Newmont Asia Pacific more efficient and effective in maximising the value of its sales of copper and gold.
The project was completed smoothly, on time and on budget, by MINEMAN's global implementation teams located in Australia, India and Indonesia.
