Yanacocha Peru goes live using MINEMAN Finance
The Yanacocha gold mine has cut over to MINEMAN Finance to streamline and automate its gold sales processes.
The mine is located high in the Andes Mountains and is the largest gold producer in Latin America, selling about 2 tonnes of gold and silver per week. The operator, Minera Yanacocha, is a joint venture between Newmont Mining and Buenaventura.
Newmont is North America's largest gold producer and a leading gold producer globally with operations on five continents. Buenaventura is Peru's largest publicly-traded precious metals company.
MINEMAN is the world's leading software and services solution for the commercial realization of concentrates and metals. The system streamlines transactions in metal-bearing commodities and improves the company's revenue stream.
The first stage of the MINEMAN implementation for Yanacocha was completed in May 2012 and this second phase completes the roll-out for Newmont in South America.The project was implemented by MINEMAN's gold team in Australia and Peru.
