Melbourne based MINEMAN Systems has signed a contract with Newcrest Mining, Australia, to supply and support the MINEMAN Finance software package. Newcrest is a leader in the exploration, development and operation of gold and copper mines. MINEMAN Systems supplies mission-critical software to the global mining and metals industry. The scope of the MINEMAN Finance contract includes sales planning, Accounts Receivables, short term cash management for treasury operations, and long term cashflow projections for corporate finance. The new system will enable Newcrest to create more accurate and timely financials and streamline their internal business processes. MINEMAN Finance is housed together with MINEMAN Marketing and Logistics in a data centre in Melbourne, Australia. Newcrest personnel run the system from their newly created Shared Services operation in Melbourne and from other locations. MINEMAN Systems provides ongoing support and services from its Melbourne office. Newcrest selected MINEMAN Finance because the MINEMAN software and support package has been proven on similar operations and is the best fit for their growing business.
