Melbourne based MINEMAN Systems has been awarded a contract to implement an upgrade of MINEMAN at Newmont's Batu Hijau copper mine in Indonesia. MINEMAN Systems supplies mission-critical software to the global mining and metals industry. Batu Hijau is one of the world's largest copper mines and an important part of US-based Newmont's global operations. MINEMAN Release 6 was installed at Batu Hijau in 2004 and at the time was Newmont's first project that required strict Sarbannes Oxley compliance in both it's execution and it's functionality. The upgrade to Release 6.3 introduces new systems to further improve business productivity and processes for sales planning and revenue financials.
