MINEMAN goes live at Newmont's Boddington Gold Mine

Boddington is Australia's largest gold mine and is expected to begin production in the second quarter of 2009. The annual production rate for the first five years will be about 1 million ounces of gold, together with a substantial output of copper concentrates. While Boddington represents just one of four Newmont gold mines in Australia, it will account for over half of Newmont's Australian gold production.

Newmont is a leading gold producer with operations on five continents. Employing approximately 34,000 employees and contractors worldwide, Newmont operates core assets in North America, South America, Australia, Indonesia, and Ghana.

MINEMAN is the leading software and services solution for logistics, marketing and revenue financials for concentrates and metals. During the global financial crisis MINEMAN has continued to provide Newmont and other major mining companies with sophisticated systems for logistics, marketing and revenue financials, for the commercial realization of their concentrates and metals.

MINEMAN for Boddington was fast tracked over an 8 week period in the first quarter of 2009. All of the mine's production will be tracked and sold using MINEMAN, with financials covering accounts receivables and cashflow forecasting.

Newmont elected to have MINEMAN delivered out of MINEMAN Systems' global data centre in Sydney. That  facility allows secure access to marketing and financial information, from the mine site in Western Australia, from the regional office in Perth and from head office in Denver, Colorado. MINEMAN consultants monitor and support the system from their offices in Melbourne and Mumbai.

MINEMAN is also used by other Australian mining companies including Newcrest Mining, Rio Tinto, OZ Minerals and Barrick Gold. In 2009 approximately 40% of Australia's gold production will be managed through MINEMAN.
