Inmet Mining has upgraded to MINEMAN to manage the transportation and sales of copper and zinc concentrates from its Cayeli operation in Turkey. Inmet is a Canadian-based global mining company that produces copper, zinc and gold. In addition to Cayeli in Turkey, Inmet's active operations include Las Cruces in Spain, and Ok Tedi in Papua New Guinea. Ok Tedi has used MINEMAN for it's marketing and revenue financials since 2000. MINEMAN is a mission-critical software and services solution used by the mining and metals industries for product transportation, marketing and financials. MINEMAN is the world leader in this field. The new MINEMAN installation in Turkey replaces the Aquarius software system presently supplied by Brady PLC of the UK. Factors in the decision included MINEMAN's advanced techology, proven track record and global support. The advanced system uses MINEMAN's new Release 7 technology. It will give Inmet and Cayeli more flexibility in their business processes and the potential to increase profits using MINEMAN's framework for continuous improvement. MINEMAN is delivered to Inmet out of the MINEMAN global data centre in Sydney, Australia. Inmet staff operate MINEMAN from their administrative office in Ankara, from their Cayeli mining operation in Rize, Turkey, and from other worldwide locations.
