MINEMAN has gone live for Newmont Mining in Colorado and Nevada. Newmont is North America's largest gold producer and a leading gold producer globally with operations on five continents. MINEMAN is the world's leading software and services solution for the commercial realization of concentrates and metals. The first stage of the MINEMAN roll-out was completed on 1 July for Newmont's Phoenix copper/gold mine in Northern Nevada. The work also included the establishment of a single, global instance of MINEMAN Release 7 in Newmont's new data centre in Denver, Colorado. Newmont's North America operations include 14 open-pit mines, four underground mines and 14 processing facilities. In addition to gold, the operations produce silver and copper. The scope of the ongoing MINEMAN project includes transportation and logistics, marketing and sales, and revenue financials for concentrates, gold doré, ore and other gold-bearing materials. The MINEMAN Newmont project uses the latest technology to facilitate performance monitoring and business process automation. It will provide Newmont with a centralized and standardized solution that can be used to integrate Newmont's operations globally.
