Lundin's Candelaria Mining Complex goes live on MINEMAN
Lundin Mining is a multinational minerals company with operations in Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Russia. Lundin Mining is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange the Swedish Nordic Exchange.
MINEMAN is the world's leading software and services solution for logistics, marketing and revenue financials for concentrates and metals.
In 2015 Lundin Mining selected MINEMAN Systems to replace SAP for commodities management, for all of Lundins mining operations worldwide. The first site chosen to be implemented on MINEMAN were the Candalaria and Ojos mines, known as the Candelaria Mining Complex. The site went live on MINEMAN R7 on 4 December 2015 after a rapid implementation of only eight weeks.
The previous SAP implementation was discontinued.
The Candelaria and Ojos del Salado mines and surrounding tenements are located in Chile's Atacama Province, Region III, at an elevation of approximately 650 metres above sea level, 20 km south of the city of Copiapó and 650 km north of Santiago. In November 2014, Lundin Mining acquired an 80% ownership stake in Candelaria and Ojos del Salado from Freeport-McMoRan Inc.
The solution comprises MINEMAN R7 delivered out of MINEMAN System's global cloud-based infrastructure. The solution manages complex joint venture accounting, marketing administration activites for copper concentrates, Mark-To-Market financials, and cashflow forecasting.
MINEMAN R7 will be rolled out for Lundin's other mining operations worldwide during 2016.
