MINEMAN goes live at MMG Kinsevere Mine

Kinsevere is a world-class copper mine located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Kinsevere was acquired by MMG in 2012 and is an important part of the company’s portfolio of high quality base metals assets with an expected production of 70,000 to 75,000 tonnes of copper cathode in 2015.

MMG was founded in 2009 with a vision to become the world’s most respected diversified base metals company. MMG operate and develop copper, zinc and other base metals projects across Australia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Laos and Peru with significant exploration projects across Australia, Africa and the Americas.

MINEMAN is a mission-critical software and services solution used by the mining and metals industries for product transportation, marketing and financials. MINEMAN is the world leader in this field.

MMG has been using MINEMAN since July 2009 followed by an upgrade to Release 7 in August 2014. MINEMAN R7 implementation has been extended to the MMG’s Kinsevere operation in Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Kinsevere site has been added to the existing MINEMAN MMG application covering a specialised sales process split between several stakeholders. In addition to the standard MINEMAN functionality, the Kinsevere implementation includes Kinsevere customised parcel naming convention, 2 years of historical data conversion, customised users security, use of assay importer to eliminate manual data entry and migration of Kinsevere data onto the existing MMG production instance.
