Newmont Phoenix Copper Cathode operation goes live
The new Phoenix copper cathode operation has gone live using MINEMAN's cathode logistics and sales system.
The mine is located in Northern Nevada and is the newest operation to be commissioned by Newmont Mining. Newmont's other mines already use MINEMAN for logistics, metal sales and financials, among other things.
Newmont is North America's largest gold producer and a leading gold producer globally with operations on five continents.
MINEMAN is the world's leading software and services solution for metal sales.
MINEMAN is a mission critical system because it controls the revenue stream. For this project the system had to comply with Newmonts strict Sarbanes Oxley requirements which included a high level of automation and integration of MINEMAN with the mine site's data acquistion systems.
The MINEMAN's cathode logistics and sales system is a standardised solution for copper mines and copper smelters, and is one part of a single comprehensive system that is trusted by many companies worldwide.
