Lundin Global Roll-out Complete
The Lundin Mining's Neves-Corvo operation implementation project is now live on MINEMAN as of 18th April 2017. This represents the completion of the program of work which commenced in October 2015 with the Candelaria and Ojos operations going live in January 2016, followed by Zinkgruvan and Eagle operations going live in October 2016.
Lundin Mining is a diversified Canadian base metals mining company with operations in Chile, the United States of America, Portugal, and Sweden. In addition, Lundin Mining holds an indirect 24 percent equity stake in the Freeport Cobalt Oy business, which includes a cobalt refinery located in Kokkola, Finland. Lundin Mining’s operations produce copper, zinc, lead and nickel concentrates. These concentrates contain a variety of payable metals including gold and silver.
About the project
The Neves-Corvo implementation represents the final stage in Lundin Mining Corporation’s program of work with all the operations now managed via the Mineman Cloud using the Mineman System. The Neves-Corvo operation in Portugal shares the same back-office commercial team as the Eagle mine in the U.S.A. and Zinkgruvan mine in Sweden which have been live on Mineman since October 2016. The aim of the project has been to deliver the MINEMAN Release 7 system to manage the daily commercial marketing, finance administration and logistics of concentrate parcels for the Neves-Corvo operation.
In addition to standard invoice data, new interfaces will also be introduced to fulfill specific tax reporting requirements of the Portuguese government. The project also required production of customized precious metal streaming agreement invoices. It was important that Mineman worked closely with the Neves-Corvo financial teams to ensure the outcomes met these requirements. Other than that, the implementation followed the same base requirements as the previous implementations. The Neves-Corvo and Lundin Mining Corporation core project team were instrumental in the success of the project and we look forward to building on the relationship over the coming years.
