Barrick/Newmont Joint Venture live on MINEMAN
Kalgoorlie Consolidate Gold Mines, a 50/50 joint venture between Newmont and Barrick Gold has commenced using MINEMAN for managing the transportation logistics and sales of their gold pyrite concentrates.
KCGM has built up a sizable stockpile of gold-bearing pyrite concentrate that it aims to ship over a period of time.
The solution was integrated into Newmont Australia’s existing MINEMAN solution. Through the use of a sophisticated data segregation layer, Newmont is able to control which users can access data relating to their existing copper concentrate and gold doré sales and which users can access the new pyrite sales data.
The project was also able to take advantage of the latest features from MINEMAN including container management, allowing the recording of individual container data such as weights, assays, container handling dates and security information.
Newmont Australia has been using the MINEMAN System since 2009. This latest project simply expanded that offering and is further evidence of the strong working relationship between Newmont and Mineman Systems.
